Netflix has made some minor updates to their iOS app, like small bug fixes, but perhaps the biggest change, is the new user interface (UI) when watching a film or TV episode. Obviously, the screen is void of an interface when watching a film, unless of course, you tap the display. This brings up an interface that allows users to exit out, or go back, change the subtitles, volume or skip further into the content they are watching.
Netflix has cleaned up their on-screen UI, offering a more “Netflix-ish” feel, like a red progress bar, showing you how far you’re into your show or movie. They’ve even made the “button” that you slide larger, which makes it easier to tap and drag, the same goes for the volume slider.
Overall, while not a major update, it’s certainly a welcome one, as it feels more polished and cohesive with the rest of the app. If you already have the app, check your updates via the App Store, otherwise you can download it by searching for Netflix via the App Store. The Netflix app does require a subscription, which starts at $7.99 for unlimited streaming.
