Kellex over at Droid-Life posted the picture below, that was found on a Chinese site, the image shows off the supposed “DROID Fighter” that has been rumored for a little while now. The phone to its right is the DROID RAZR Maxx, which is no small phone, but in comparison, is noticeably smaller than the Fighter.
Another thing you’ll notice is that the capacitive buttons on the bottom have been removed and replaced with “Verizon branding.” The overall design scheme has remained the same as the Bionic, Razr, and Razr Maxx so don’t expect anything to flashy in terms of aesthetics. This new DROID could end up being Motorola’s first device with a HD display (which is said to be 4.6-inches in size), at least in the US and it could also be Moto’s first Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) device.
Kellex also mentions that there are rumors that the Fighter will carry a large 3,300mAh battery like the Razr Maxx, which it will most likely need to power LTE, an HD display and Android 4.0.
Tell us what you think? Are you excited for Motorola’s first U.S. device with an HD display, or do you think smartphones are just getting to big?
