Verizon has officially announced their launch plans for the BlackBerry Z10, the first phone to run the new BlackBerry 10 operating system. Starting today, Verizon will begin to accept pre-orders for the new device, which will officially go on sale March 28th. Customers who order their device early, will be receive it on the same day. As for the price, Verizon’s selling the new Z10 slab for the traditional price of $199 with a new two-year service agreement.
Seeing how Sprint’s already expressed their interest in carrying only the BlackBerry Q10 (the BlackBerry 10 device with a physical QWERTY keyboard), which will debut later this year, Verizon will be the last major U.S. carrier to release the Z10. AT&T will sell their Z10 on March 28 and T-Mobile has already begun taking pre-orders for business customers. However, being last isn’t all bad, as Big Red has managed to exclusively snag the BlackBerry Z10 in white.
