Now that Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 have both made their grand debuts, carriers—at least in the US—are ushering out new devices like crazy. Today marks the Nokia Lumia 920′s release and next week, on November 13, Verizon Wireless—who was hesitant on Windows Phone 7 devices—will be releasing not one, but two new Windows Phone 8 devices… the Windows Phone 8X by HTC and the Lumia 822 by Nokia.
The signature Windows Phone, the 8X, by HTC is a great mixture of gorgeous design and awesome specs as it features a 4.3-inch 720p HD display, Beats Audio, an 8-megapixel camera with HTC ImageSense, 16GB of RAM, NFC, a wide-angle Front facing HD camera and wireless charging, which is exclusive to the Verizon model. The 8X will come in three colors, Blue, Red and Black and will sell for $199 with a new 2-year contract or for $549 with no service plan.
The Lumia 822 is Nokia’s mid-range Windows Phone 8 device and will sell for $149.99 (on contract) and if you decide to purchase the device online, you can score an additional $50 off, for a grand total of $99. The Lumia also comes with a 4.3-inch display, Nokia Drive+, Free Nokia Music (streaming service), an 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and NFC. Like the HTC 8X, the Lumia 822 comes in three colors, black, white and grey.
Both of these Windows Phone 8 devices support Verizon’s massive and super fast 4G LTE network. Pre-orders are now being accepted, over at Verizon Wireless.
