For those you who own a Mac and an iPhone, who’ve been using the twitter client, Tweetbot, we have some exciting news. For a while, people (myself included) have been asking the developer at Tapbots, when and if, they’d bring their popular iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad) app to the Mac OS.
Randomly, without anything any hints that they’ve been working on it, Tapbot’s co-founder and graphic designer, Mark Jardine, posted a tweet, exclaiming how gorgeous the new MacBook Pro’s Retina display was, when low and behold, on Mark’s desktop, is a version of Tweetbot.
Was this a cleverly planned tease, most likely, but regardless, we can see that the apps looks very much like the iPad version, with the UI going down along the left hand side. Hopefully, we’ll hear more on this app soon, as I for one am ready to ditch Tweetdeck (I’m still running the version before Twitter took over).
