Have you heard of the Wikipad, if you haven’t, don’t worry you’re not alone. In any case, the Wikipad is it 10.1-inch Android tablet that comes complete with the docking system that has dual joystick controllers, as well as built-in speakers. The tablet will soon be available exclusively at Gamestop’s nationwide for $499. While the tablet is an exactly well-known, it does sport some pretty decent hardware, including the 10.1-inch display that features a resolution of 1280×800 and is covered in Gorilla Glass. Inside, the Wikipad is powered by a 1.4GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and it also supports microSD cards, up to 32GB. Like other tablets, the Wikipad has a front and rear camera with 2 and 8 megapixels respectively. Aside from all the other standard features like wifi, an accelerometer and a gyroscope the best part is this tablet will come running the latest version of Android, 4.1 Jelly Bean.

When you lay your eyes on this new tablet, you know it’s main purpose is gaming, but what you may not realize is this tablet is also powerful and versatile enough to be used in the enterprise workplace. It’s the slimmest, lightest full functioning tablets in the world at 8.6mm thin and it only weighs a staggeringly light 560 grams.

The questions is with absolutely no name recognition and the fact it’s only available at Gamestop, will the tablet be a success, especially with a $499 price tag, the same as the 16GB WiFi iPad. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. What do you all think? Would you pick one of these gaming tablet up?
