Much like the first video of the next iPhone, this new video was brought to our attention by Cydiablog. In the video below, posted by eTradeSupply, we get another “longer” look at the next iPhone, which is compared to an iPhone 4S (and an empty shell of one). Assuming the next iPhone’s display is flush with the casing (after all, it is using “in-cell” display technology) then the thickness of the device is about that of the metal band on the iPhone 4/4S.
It also looks like the metal used for the new casing is a dark gun metal color and that the back, where it looks like shiny glass, is actually metal as well. Overall the size is no thicker than the current iPhone and it’s only slightly taller, by about 1/4-inch. The video’s narrator shows off the new iPhone’s bottom headphone jack, smaller dock connector, and how the SIM card slot is actually smaller.
To be honest, at first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the new iPhone’s design, but after seeing it from so many angles, I have to say, I really love that dark gun metal coloring. It looks so industrial and polished at the same time. While I’ve typically been a fan of Apple’s white devices (I currently own a white 4S and iPad 3), I may pick up one of this dark metal iPhone, assuming this design is real.
