T-Mobile announced today that together with Nokia, they’ll be offering the upcoming Lumia 521, which will be running Windows Phone 8. The Lumia 521 features a bright, super sensitive 4-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera, and will run on T-Mobile’s 4G network (no mention of LTE). While T-Mobile and Nokia failed to mention a specific price tag for the 521, they did say it would contain high-end features at an affordable price. With T-Mobile no longer offering subsidized pricing on phones, we expect this phone to mostly like debut at $49 – $99 upfront, with a minimum monthly fee, as well as an affordable out right fee of $399 or less (this is speculation).
The Lumia 521 will be available at T-Mobile stores, Walmart and even Microsoft Retail Store starting in May, with an exact date to follow shortly.
