T-Mobile’s new CEO John Legere—who isn’t afraid to go casual and announce things in a baseball cap—said that he expects to begin selling Apple’s iPhone in about 3 – 4 months. Legere, who spoke with Reuters, says that while he can’t confirm a specific launch date, he fully expects to being selling the world’s best selling smartphone sooner (in 3-4 months) rather than in six to nine months.
It was just last month, that T-Mobile announced that they—the nation’s fourth largest carrier—would finally begin to sell the iPhone. Legere didn’t comment on whether or not they would kick off their iPhone launch with a newer device (ie. the iPhone 5S or 6) or with the existing iPhone 5.
Either way, if Legere is right, we’ll be seeing an iPhone on the magenta carrier around April or May and with truly unlimited plans, this could make millions of people, very, very happy.
