According to an internal memo that was leaked from Walmart (below), the highly anticipated Galaxy Nexus for Sprint is scheduled to be released on April 22nd, exactly one week after the release of the LG Viper, which drops on the 15th. Sprint has said that the Nexus could be their first LTE smartphone and it has been rumored to release for the “Now Network” on the 15th as well, so it is entirely possible that the Galaxy Nexus could be released on the 15th, but only at corporate Sprint stores, with Walmart’s release coming the following week.
The Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper are two important phones for Sprint, as they represent the first two devices that will help launch their new 4G LTE network that is suppose to go live sometime in April. Sprint expects to have their network completely rolled out by 2014, with cities like Dallas, Baltimore and few others helping to kick it off this month.
