Aside from just announcing the HTC 8XT, Sprint has also announced another Windows Phone 8 device, the ATIV S Neo from Samsung. The ATIV S Neo is the continuation of the ATIV S Windows Phone line that Samsung has already released on other carriers, with subtle changes here and there. The S Neo will feature a 1.4 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, as well as microSD card support. It also features a 4.8-inch HD display—an improvement over the HTC 8XT’s 4.3-inch non-HD display.
Like other popular Samsung devices, the ATIV S Neo features NFC and powerful camera features, with its 8-megapixel camera. It also has a slightly better 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, with Samsung’s own built in software, “Manga Camera” and “Beauty Shot,” to improve pictures that you take of yourself.
The ATIV S Neo will retail for $149 (with a 2-year contract), which is $50 more than HTC’s offering, but it does offer a better display and bigger battery. Both devices take advantage of Sprint’s 4G LTE network. Like the HTC 8XT, Sprint has offered no firm release date, other than saying later this summer.
