The team over at GSMArena have posted a picture (below) of an “anonymous” source claims is the Galaxy Note II from Samsung. The source however has been unable to confirm the origins of the image and if we had to guess, we’d call it a fake. While I’m sure the Galaxy Note II may share some similarities with the Galaxy S III, this render however looks like someone took a photograph of the Galaxy S III and simply stretched it out. The main giveaway would be the unusual size of the home button, which in comparison to everything is huge and obviously looks “shopped.” Just because the device is larger, Samsung would not have to make the home button any larger than it already is on the Galaxy S III. Not to mention the screen’s proportions do not coincide with reports that the new device will feature a larger 5.5-inch display.
With the Note II’s reveal quickly approaching, we fully expect to see more “leaks” like we did with the Galaxy S III, so stay tuned.
