We may be seeing the release of the HTC EVO 4G LTE a little sooner than originally thought. When Sprint revealed the new EVO early this month in New York, they said it would be available in the second quarter, which was a little vague. Previous EVO devices have all been released in June, which left us believing that June would be the month we’d see the new EVO 4G LTE.
According to sources who’ve spoke with tech site, PhoneDog, we could see the new EVO released as early as May 18th, which falls on a Friday, the same day of the week that the original EVO was released.
We don’t know the validity of PhoneDog’s source, so we are going to keep this one in the rumor category for now, but PhoneDog has been a solid site in the past, so we’re also going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
In the meantime, we’ll just have to wait it out. But if all this is true and the EVO 4G LTE will be released within a month of the upcoming Galaxy Nexus, which device would you choose?
