Rumor: Apple’s iPad Mini to go on sale and ship on Friday, November 6th

Apple’s Tim Cook and crew are set to take the stage next week on the 23rd, in San Fran, to announce the new, smaller iPad, often referred to as the iPad Mini. Most people just want to know when they’ll be able to get their hands on the new device? Well, according sites like TechCrunch, Apple may follow their typical release pattern by allowing customers to pre-order the device the Friday after the announcement, with the actual release date being the following Friday, in this case, November 2nd.

This does sound extremely plausible, as word has gotten around that manufacturing has already kicked into full gear and stock is already being generated. It would also follow the same pattern as previous iPhones and other big releases by Apple.

If the new iPad (mini) does go on sale November 2nd, this may be the biggest thorn in the side of Amazon, who promised to ship the 8.9-inch version of its Kindle Fire HD line on November 20th, almost 3 weeks later. Amazon didn’t have to match Apple with the previous Kindle Fire last year, now it has both models of the ultra-popular iPad (both large and small), not to mention Google’s Nexus 7 and Barnes & Noble’s new Nook HD (7-inch) and Nook HD+ (9-inch) which goes on sale November 1st for a cheaper price of only $269.

In any event, it should be a great holiday season for consumers, now who’s excited for next Tuesday?
