We reported last week that Rovio was teasing a new game in the Angry Birds franchise, but this time it would be from the Pig’s perspective. Today, Rovio made the rumor official and announced “Bad Piggies.” The game promised “never-before seen game play with no slingshot in sight.”
“We’ve had a lot of fun creating a totally new and unique gameplay experience,” said Petri Järvilehto, EVP Games at Rovio. “There’s so much more to these pigs than what is seen in the Angry Birds games, and Bad Piggies is the first glimpse into what’s going on in the imaginative and ingenious minds of the pigs.”
For those who’ve become tired of the “Birds,” this may be a good way to vent their frustrations, by using the very pigs, they once tired to punish with an unrelenting aerial assault, to extract their revenge. As we get closer to the game’s official launch, September 27th on iOS, Android and Mac, we’ll surely see more in terms of pictures and videos.
Rovio also promises the game’s release on Windows 8, Windows Phone and other PC versions shortly after.

Rovio Entertainment, the creators of Angry Birds, today announced their newest game, Bad Piggies, launching September 27 for iOS, Android and Mac. This innovative game turns the franchise on its head by letting the fans play as the pigs – with all new, never-before-seen gameplay – and not a slingshot in sight!
