Rockstar Games, who have already released amazing mobile versions of Grand Theft Auto III and Max Payne, have announced another mobile port coming this fall, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. GTA:VC is considered by many to be the best of the early GTA games, with fantastic voice acting, a great locale and awesome selection of 80′s music. So to celebrate the game’s 10th anniversary, the team at Rockstar who managed to bring a flawless version of GTA III to mobile devices, are bringing the Miami themed game to both iOS and Android.
In conjunction with the anniversary, we’re pleased to announce that we’ll be releasing an Anniversary Edition of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for select iOS and Android devices later this fall. This upcoming version will bring the full experience to mobile devices, featuring native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms. Stay tuned for more details in the weeks ahead including a list of compatible iOS and Android devices.
If you haven’t already played GTA III for iOS or Android, give it a shot, it’s amazing to think that 10 years ago, these games were only available on home consoles and now they are running better than ever on a smartphone and tablet.
Hopefully Vice City will be priced similar to GTA III’s $2.99 price tag, because for a price that low, for a game that great… it’s a no brainer.
