First off, I want to set the record straight. For those of you who are new to this site, I have said since day one, that I am honest, sometimes to honest and brutal perhaps. I don’t hide my feelings, especially with my utter distaste for RIM and their over glorified and pompous CEO’s and their awful outdated designs. But that is the great thing about the internet, I can share my opinion and you can either agree or disagree. So let’s get to this Nexus 3 hoopla, I received information from a source, I asked a few things and posted it. You all wanted more and so I pushed for more. I then posted the now infamous “Nexus 3″ image that I have since taken down as per a request (from who will remain private). I am not going to be giving more information from this source, nor will there be any follow up images.
Now as for the image itself, some of you claim “FAKE” or “GIMPed” or even “PHOTOSHOPPED.” I CAN tell you the image was “touched-up” to removed and/or HIDE things on the device that would have made it easier to track back. So as for the “line” across the screen or the thumb, they were two of the things that were taken out of image to help prevent any identification.
I have come to grips when I created this site that there are “haters” and “believers” on the internet and very few, if any, inbetween. It doesn’t matter if you’re the biggest dog like Engadget or BGR.com down to us at Techhog.com, people will hate just because want to hate and want to discredit. That’s fine, if you don’t like us, then there are plenty of places to get you info. I’m not going to sugar coat it and pretend that I want to make everyone happy. Unlike some of the bigger sites, I don’t care about what my sponsors say, I will speak the truth and my feelings on comments, posts, reviews and editorials. Since I’ve started this site I have remained unbiased towards Apple and Android because I used both and enjoy both. Sure I give Microsoft a jab here and their but I respect them and what they’ve done for this industry. RIM on the other, don’t get me started…another time.
So in the end, you are free to believe what you choose, I’m not going to sit here and defend what I’ve posted. I told you the image was edited to omit certain identifiable markings and the image and information (while available just about everywhere now) has been pulled from this site in less than 24 hours. Draw your own conclusions.
We at TechHog.com will continue to post honest up-to-date news, reviews and editorials on all things Mobile Tech. If you choose to come back to us and enter in our debates, great. If you choose to go somewhere else and never come back…great, your choice, isnt’ it great!
