Quick Review: PopCap’s Plants vs. Zombies on Android

Posted on May 31 2011 - 2:20pm by Mike Wewerka

So I’ve spent the last few hours, off and on with Pop Cap’s Plants vs Zombies for Android. Overall, I think the game translated well to Android in terms of gameplay. The game runs smooth and all the options are there like “Adventure” and Quick Play” modes and there are achievements as well. So far the only downside I’ve seen is the graphics look a little blurred. I’m testing this out on a Nexus S 4G and I’m noticing it quite a bit. The first spot you’ll notice the blurriness is when the “PopCap” logo first shows up. Keep in mind this is on a 4″ screen, so I can only imagine how this might look on a 4.3″ screen like the EVO, Droid X, Charge, Galaxy S II, etc.., I’ll test it out later on the EVO 4G when I get back to the office, but as for now the blurryness is my only complaint after only spending a little time with the game.

We’ll have a FULL review up either this evening or tomorrow for you all, by our Android App Reviewer, Wil Nelson.

Reminder: If you haven’t already download the game now, as it is free for today on the Amazon App Store.
