If you’ve been surveying the Android tablet landscape lately, more than likely you’ve noticed HTC’s absence. While Samsung, Motorola, ASUS and even Acer continue to produce tablets, HTC’s only known efforts have been the Flyer/EVO View 4G and the failed Jetstream on AT&T. Since the Jetstream’s horrible launch in the US (priced at $700??), HTC’s been mum on their tablet plans, but according to some leaked photos, the Taiwanese company apparently hasn’t given up.
The images that have surfaced show a unique design that looks like a cross between an iMac and the HTC One X. The tablet looks to be made of the same white polycarbonate found on the One X and features an off centered display, for what looks like an area to comfortably hold the device while reading or surfing the net. While there is no evidence to prove if this tablet is just a prototype or one that HTC plans to unveil soon, we do have the IFA event in Berlin this week, so it is entirely possible HTC could show something off there, then again, this may just be a concept with no release scheduled.

What do you all think of HTC’s new take on an Android tablet? Personally, I like this one a lot, not sure about the camera placement, but I’ll hold off my judgement until I physically hold it
