Path—you know, that social networking app that you want to use, but none of your friends using—just announced that they’ve launched a new, impressive looking iPad app. The app, which is meant to be used in landscape, shows you an entire day on screen, want to go to the next, or previous, day then simply swipe left or right. Path believes that because its app is now on the iPad, it opens it up to a whole new group of people, so more of your family or friends will start to use it.
I’m a big fan of the Path app for the iPhone, but as I said, no one I know uses the app. I find it difficult to convince people to use it AND Facebook. Most people say to me, “why would I use two apps to do the same thing I can already do on Facebook and all of my friends are already here.” It’s at that point, that I just give up. I keep the app on my phone, simply because I like the way it looks and feels. I’ll download the iPad version too and will most likely use it just as little.
Either way, props to the Path team for creating a great looking app.
