With Windows Phone 8′s release rapidly approaching this October, it’s only natural that Microsoft’s main WP partner, Nokia, would be preparing to deliver their next generation hardware. We’ve been seeing some leaked model numbers of a few various Lumia devices, some we suspect to be WP8 devices, but it looks like we’ll finally get a look at said hardware come September 5.
Nokia and Microsoft are holding a press event on September 5 in New York. The invite (seen below) shows the Lumia and Windows Phone logos, making the event’s topic all but obvious. Will we finally see a Windows Phone device that can match those powerful Android devices, if I asked my Magic 8 ball I think it would say, “all signs point to yes.”
