It looks all the previous leaks of the next iPhone could in fact be real, at least according to another new find. Tech site, GottaBeMobile, has posted new images of what they claim is an engineering sample from a factory based in China. Apparently these metal samples are used to show factories the placement of design elements and where things such as an antenna or port will be located.

The sample does line up with the previous leaks, such as the new iPhone having the same width as the iPhone 4, but with an overall longer frame. As you can see in our header image, the back of the device features two clear lines, where there is rumored to be a “brushed metal” part of the new iPhone.

Is this all real or just an elaborate fake? We don’t know and probably won’t know until we see the iPhone 5 in Tim Cook’s hand this fall. There is one thing to keep in mind, when the iPhone 4 was leaked, Apple fought tooth and nail to get it back and that was only a month before its debut. These leaks, especially the case leaks, started almost 2 months ago, several months before Apple is to announce the new phone and yet they’ve done nothing. Some believe that this is all an elaborate hoax by Apple to though bloggers and the press off their scent. Remember, Tim Cook said they were doubling down on security and leaks, the same day all those images of the supposed case made their way onto the internet, coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. Let us know your thoughts.
