Microsoft and General Motors produced a video, more like a vision, of what they expect the future of technology to look like. This is nothing new, knowing Microsoft has released vision videos before but honestly, this one is pretty cool. However, I think this is a little far fetched. Maybe a future 20+ years from now, but hard to vision something this advanced in the near future.
Glasses with a built in computer chip to display a HUD for things like estimated time of arrival while in a taxi cab or to show the location of a meeting you have the next day, hotel bellhops getting basic information about arriving guests sent to a device in their pocket and even touching the fridge in your house to see what you are running low on.
Don’t get me wrong, I think this technology is pretty amazing and wish it could happen in the near future. But watch the video and let us know what you think. Is science fiction becoming non-fiction? Do you think this technology will benefit or hinder society?
