Well, it worked for the Greeks when they wanted to take over Troy, and I guess it worked for Steve Ballmer when he sent in his Trojan horse, aka Stephen Elop, into Nokia. First Elop convinces Nokia’s board of directors to ditch Symbian for Windows Phone 7, causing a riot amoung Nokia development staff and now word comes from Eldar Murtazin, passed onto BGR.com, that Nokia has sold it’s phone divsion to Microsoft for a reported $19 Billion dollars.
This comes just after two week when Murtazin claimed that Microsoft was looking to buy Nokia, but a Nokia spokesperson quickly denied the report saying, quote “Eldar’s rumors are getting obviously less accurate with every passing moment.” While no official announcement has been made reports are coming that the deal is done.
Now we just sit back and wait for the news to become official and watch how Microsoft destroys one of the great companies of the mobile industry.
