Meizu has finally decided to unveil its newest smartphone, the MX, which will be released in China in January 2012. The MX will be a dual-core device (with a quad-core coming later in the year), running Samsung’s own Exynos processor clocked at 1.4GHz (per core), it will have 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (a 32GB model will come soon after), a weak 0.3-megapixel front shooter, but a much better 8-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 lens. It will also have a 960 x 640 4-inch ASV display.
Love the styling of this phone, but sad that it won’t show up on U.S. shores? Fear not, the MX will come supporting pentaband 3G with HSPA+ radio. So if you have AT&T or T-Mobile, simply pop out the foreign SIM and put in your US based SIMcard and you’re off an running. One last thing about the MX, it will come running Android 2.3.5, but according to the CEO of Meizu, it will eventually get Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.
