Feast your eyes on the latest smartphone from South Korea, LG’s Optimus G. LG is taking it straight to its Korean rival, Samsung, by delivering its newest flagship device that come equipped with a powerful Snapdragon quad-core processor, a supposedly gorgeous 4.7-inch HD IPS+ display with a resolution of 1,280 x 768, 32GB of internal storage and a whopping 2GB of RAM and of course, 4G LTE. As far as the rear camera goes, LG’s packing in a rather large 13-megapixel camera, while the front-facing camera remains a puny 1.3-megapixel.
Scheduled to launch this September in South Korea first, the Optimus G will come in both white and black. After its initial release, LG plans to release the device to the rest of the world. Of course, with a September release, that means that LG will be battling Apple’s latest iPhone, which is also scheduled to be released around the same time.
LG may have another problem, one that pertains to the design of the new Optimus G, while it may sound biased to say, the new device does resemble the iPhone 4/4S. Say what you want, but view other sites and read comments elsewhere, the majority of people agree. LG could be setting themselves up for a lawsuit, especially now that Apple has a precedent after their victory over Samsung. If Apple can win over the Galaxy S II, then this Optimus G has a snowball’s chance in hell.
