Sprint has opened the flood gates holding all you fans of the Kyocera Echo back. That’s right, you can now head over to http://now.sprint.com/echo/ and drop down your hard earned cash for what is likely to be a totally unique device. All sarcasm aside, I think the Echo will be a fine device, I just don’t think it will be flying off the shelf. Unless the Echo launches with other apps, besides Kyocera’s own, it really won’t be fully utilized.
With new phones coming to Sprint like the Nexus S 4G, the EVO 3D and the rumored Atrix 4G picking up the Echo with its less than stellar processor and lack of 4G it just seems like a tough sell. Remember this though, once you buy this phone and are out of the 30 day return policy, you’ll be stuck with this phone for 2 years (1 year if you are a premier customer). But if it’s your bag, head on over and pre-order it for $200 (with a new 2-year contract) and be ready to experience some dual screen goodness on April 17th.
