iPad Mini: The first possible photos of a completed device?

The French website, nowhereelse.fr has been providing images of both the iPhone 5 and the new iPad Mini for several months now and it looks like the leaks just keep on flowing. Re-posting photos from DGtle.com, nowhereelse.fr has posted what looks like a fully constructed “mock-up” of the iPad Mini. As nice as this looks, they are quick to point out that these could be a Chinese knock-off, as they are clearly not functioning models, but the more likely theory is that this unit, while fake, is for other Chinese companies to make 3rd party accessories for the real iPad Mini, using this mock-up for specs and fitting.

This mockup lines up perfectly with other back panel and case leaks we’ve seen so far, but with Apple, until we see it, it may not be true. We all remember what happened last year with the iPhone 5 (teardrop design cases) which turned out to be the iPhone 4S. So keep an open mind and enjoy the leaks for now.

Also, don’t expect to hear about this tablet tomorrow, if Apple does plan to introduce the new iPad Mini, it will supposedly be in October at its own event, not September.

I am more excited about the iPad Mini than anything else they have already announced. I have been looking for a smaller tablet that I can carry around with me, and not be weighed down with. I have been hearing about the iPad Mini for weeks from a co-worker at Dish and now I can’t stop looking for whatever information I can find on it. I really just want it to be able to take it with me out of the house, especially with all the new shows and new fall season coming up shortly, to watch live TV on the Dish Remote Access app so I don’t have to miss any of the shows this season. I know the price will probably be more than the Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire, but I am sure it will be worth it. These pictures look amazing. I hope this is what it really looks like. I can’t wait to hear an official announcement for it.
