Perhaps the biggest frustration I’ve had with Apple’s iOS has been the need to enter your Apple ID password everything you download or update an app. I’ve thought to myself numerous times, this either needs to go away or Apple needs to allow the user to turn this off. I may have gotten something close with iOS 6.
According to a Reddit users and brought to our attention by MacRumors, Apple is now allowing users to download free apps and update existing apps (including paid apps) without having to enter a password in iOS 6. Another plus, is that when a user taps on an app to download it, it won’t kick them out to the home screen to see the app downloading, instead, it will download the app in the background.
Finally Apple’s iOS is delivering on what customers have been demanding for years!
