T-Mobile announces the arrival of the HTC Radar 4G, a new Window Phone 7 (Mango) device. The Radar which will be the first Windows Phone 7 device to utilize T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network, be it the low end of 14.4G. The Radar is wrapped in a slick aluminum and plastic casing, giving it a nice sturdy feel. With a 3.8″ display (480 x 800 resolution) and due to Mango’s restrictions, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon “single” core processor. How will the new Mango run on a single core? When we get our review unit, we’ll let you know. The Radar will also come with a dedicated camera button to support its 5mp camera and LED flash, 8GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM. With specs like these, this is obviously not a “high-end” device, but falls somewhere in the mid-range category. So we should see a sub $199 price tag upon release, of course, that is on a new 2 year contract.
For now, we just have to wait as T-Mobile say the device will be out in time for the Holidays.
