Four days ago we posted a leaked press render of the upcoming HTC One (M7) in white. The image came courtesy of the Twitter account @EVLEAKS, which has been delivering some of the best leaks over the past year, so there has been no reason to try and debunk the photo as being the real deal. Now, the same source is back with yet another image of the HTC One, this time in black.
When the white model was leaked, many people started making comparisons to Apple’s iPhone 5 design and even to the white BlackBerry Z10. But now that a new black/slate model has been exposed, it’s even harder to not make the comparison, especially to Apple’s iPhone 5. With the polished, beveled edge, the slate color and placement of the metal parts, if the One was turned off, it would resemble the back of the iPhone 5, minus the logo.
Like the leaked image of the white model, this new photo shows off HTC’s completely redesigned Sense UI, going for sort of a Windows Phone tile look, as opposed to the big, over-sized weather clock that they’ve been using for years.
With HTC’s press event scheduled for February 19th (this coming Tuesday), we only have four short days to wait before we see HTC’s latest attempt to take back Android marketshare from Samsung.
