Samsung has announced that on August 1, Carphone Warehouse will start to offer the Samsung Galaxy S III Team GB special edition. The special edition version of the Galaxy S III be the same as the previous model, in terms of specs, but will offer two different battery doors on the back depending on if you buy the pebble blue or the marble white. You pebble blue version will contain an image of the Union Jack flag that looks distressed and faded toward the bottom, the marble white version on the other hand will have a white back with a blue and red Lionhead Olympic logo.
“As a Worldwide Olympic Partner, we at Samsung want everyone to get behind Team Great Britain and offer them support during the Olympic Games.” said Simon Stanford, Samsung’s Vice President of Telecommunications and Networks. “We are delighted to be able to offer Carphone Warehouse customers the chance to own this exclusive London 2012 Samsung Galaxy S III handset, combining the chance to support Team GB with owning a piece of cutting-edge Samsung technology.”
The special Olympic edition of the Galaxy S III will be available on several UK carriers, such as; Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Three networks, and Talk Mobile. Just in case you still wanted the original back of the Galaxy S III, the Samsung has included that as well.
