Google has released a new version of their Google+ app for iOS today (surprisingly before the Android version). The update is a major overhaul from the previous version, it’s smoother and has a lot more polish to its UI. In fact, it’s not very “Google-ish at all,” it actually has a very Windows Phone vibe going for it, which is not a bad thing.
When browsing your stream, the transitions between people and their updates feels great. While I barely use Google+, this update alone will probably peak my interest for a few weeks, who knows, if I find myself using it more often, I may become a regular.
Interestingly, Google’s Android version will be a few more weeks, we don’t know if it will have more unique features, other than being tired directly to Android’s main functions, but overall we think the UI will be about the same.
The update is available now on the Apple App Store. If you already own the app and it’s not showing the update, simply delete it off your device and download it. This will give you the most current version.
Here’s a few pictures of mine.
