Already considered quite possibly the best email app on a mobile device, Gmail, has just been updated for Android devices running 3.2 (Honeycomb). The new update brings with it some of the style and flare found in the version for Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Now users can simply swipe to switch emails, tapping your account will now give you direct access to recently label and the ability to customize notifications for individual labels.

This may be a move by Google to help those customers who are still waiting on the manufacturer of their tablet, to get the Android 4.0 update rolling out. At least now, users stuck on 3.2 can enjoy a little taste of Ice Cream Sandwich, making the wait not so unbearable.

If you haven’t already, head to the Google Play Store, check under “my apps” and look for the Gmail icon that says it has an update. Sit back, download and enjoy! I know I will on my Galaxy Tab 10.1, feels like that Android 4.0 update for T-Mobile is never going to come!
