So just how “real” are Google’s Project Glass (es)? Well, Google co-Founder Sergey Brin wore them out for a night on the town at charity event just last night. After seeing Brin’s pair, we can’t help but notice a few subtle differences from the ones in the promo shots. One is the position and thickness of the glass view finder, but also the color of what can only be described as the “brains” of the glasses, that plastic part on the right ear stem. In the press shots released a few days ago, it was a glossy white, but Brin’s were matte black, as were the nose pieces. Either Brin has a more advanced prototype or maybe Google is looking to offer these glasses in more than one color configuration?
The big question is do they really work? Brin said right now they just reboot, so right now, it looks like they are just for show. With no release date planned, we may be a little while before we see these hit retail.
So what do you all think? Take our poll and let us know.
