Galaxy Nexus remains banned as Judge denies Samsung and Google

Earlier this week, it was announced that Apple had won a ban on the Galaxy Nexus, the pure Google smartphone from Google and Samsung. Google finally jumped behind Samsung in order to help fight the ban, but unfortunately Judge Lucy Koh, the same judge that also granted Apple the ban on the Galaxy Tab 10.1, upheld the ruling and so now the Galaxy Nexus is banned from being sold in the U.S. Google has already removed the device from the Google Play Store and has begun working with Samsung to remedy the issue via a software fix.

This is surely bad timing, as Google has just lowered the price of the Galaxy Nexus to $349.99 (with no contract) at Google I/O 2012. Hopefully Google and Samsung can get a fix rolled out quickly to get the Android flagship device back on the market.

We’ll continue to follow this story as it develops.
