Yesterday, it was announced in London, that for the first time ever, fans of the Beatles can finally have “official” ringtones, available only on iTunes. The set of ringtones are from the legendary bands top 27 UK number 1 hits.

The ringtones are also available in the U.S. for $1.29 per ringtone. I don’t know if this price was set by Apple or The Beatles estate, but $1.29 is a bit steep for 0:30 sec ringtone, especially when you consider that a full song (ranging from 2-3 mins) costs the same amount.

They are available now at iTunes.com/beatles
