As the announcement of the new iPhone rapidly approaches, so do leaked parts, but in this case, we have the first “leaked” accessory. The image above comes courtesy of iLounge and shows a USB charging cord for the new iPhone by Scosche. The new cord or “syncABLE Pro” features a unique swivel head that features the iPhone’s new 8 or 9-pin connector which can also be “transformed” to charge any device which supports micro USB.
Because of the change in the new iPhone’s charging connector, we’ve all assumed this would throw a wrench in the design processor for 3rd party accessory manufacturers. We know that unless Apple makes a convertor, a lot of iPhone accessories will become useless for owners of the new iPhone. We also thought it would take a while before we saw new accessories built for the new connector hit the streets, but it looks like Scosche has put those fears to rest.
