Exclusive: UPDATED Google testing LG… AND HTC devices for the next Nexus!

You know it’s funny, after college you never know where some of your good friends will end up. I myself graduated from (per request, I’ve removed the college name) and so did some very good friends of mine. And it just so happens that one of my friends, who will remain nameless (if I didn’t he’d be a little pissed), works for Google on their Android development team. He saw on my (personal) Facebook page I founded this site and we got to messaging back and forth which lead to a phone call about all kinds of tech stuff and I told him about getting the Nexus S 4G after my fiasco with Sprint (who really came through in the end with the Free Nexus) and that I was really holding out for the EVO 3D or Galaxy S II, both of which have been catching my eye. He told me to wait until “December” for Ice Cream Sandwich INFO REMOVED.

While this isn’t concrete proof, I wanted to share this with you all. I am also trying to see if he can get me some pictures of the devices…but I don’t want to jeopardize his job. As to whether or not this story gets picked up by other news sites; it doesn’t really matter. INFO REMOVED

Nice info, but I think you may have put his job in jeopardy. Perhaps someone could look up your friends on facebook and id with the people working at Google Android team ?

i can’t wait 2 see who gets it , but I think it going 2 b LG . Google is not goin 2 alienate its self by just choosing 1 brand ……

Seems like this guy is nervous about Google finding his identity out (removing the college name, leaving his name off, etc). It’s a shame they will just look at your Facebook friends and find it out pretty quickly.

Sucks that the Evo and now Evo3d are going to put me in the June renewal timeframe; I would’ve liked to get my hands on this.

That Phone is a Prototype!!!! for testing ONLY……. when TchHog.com posted the info before they remove it, i was able to get all the details from it…. it was clear that the pictured HTC device was a prototype phone and that it was from htc, the source also mention that LG was also there with their own prototype device also for testing….. the source also said that most developers preferred the HTC……. but that Google might end up with LG. as of now….the next Nexus device is said to have the new Toshiba Screen Display, Nvidia Quad Core Processor and Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS……. follow me on Twitter to get the latest info….. @undefined:twitter
