Despite Google’s boasting that their social networking site, Google+, has over 20+ million users, recent studies say otherwise, with some calling it a “Ghost Town.” So it’s not surprising to hear that developers are pulling their games from Google’s somewhat recently added Google+ Games. EA/PopCap have already pulled several games, including their big hit, Bejeweled, while another developer, Wooga, a German studio, has pulled three of the games too.
Google recently updated their Google+ site and even updated their mobile app, which is really a great looking app, however, the two don’t share any type of consistency. It almost feels like they were made by two separate teams who failed to speak or work together. When the new app launched, it was the last time I had actually used the service, before reverting back to Facebook.
While Google has tons of money to throw at Google+, I can’t help but feel in another year (or less), it will go the way of Google Wave, Google Buzz and other similarly ill-fated Google services.
