Since the release of Motorola’s Droid 3, rumors about the Droid 4 have been less than quiet. About 3 months after the release of the Droid 3 we first heard rumors about the Droid 4 and even saw an image of it. But from a logical perspective, no one thought the device would be released anytime soon. News on the Droid 4 kind of faded in to the background as prevalent information on the Droid Razr was being released and showcased. There is usually a trend or cycle with devices. After the device appears in the system it’s only time before it gets released. And usually that time is a month or two. As droidlife explains:
You may remember that the XOOM 2 popped up in this same system with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models on October 23 and is now tentatively-scheduled for a November 30 release. So if the D4 is now showing up for testing purposes and for internal system setup, there is a chance that it could be here within a month or two. Now, we won’t know for sure if the XOOM 2 will be here at the end of the month until we get to the end of the month, so let’s not place any bets on the D4 just yet. The month of December is wide open, without anything currently rumored though.
That is exactly right. If you have been following recent activity in the mobile market you will know that dates are not official till they’re official. But is releasing the Droid 4 so soon after the release of the Droid 3 a bad move on Motorola’s part? Who knows, that’s why they get paid the big bucks. Maybe some of you will be asking for the Motorola Droid 4 this holiday season.
