Disney’s set to invade the Apple App Store with three new “streaming” apps that gives users the ability to watch television shows, that until now, were only viewable on cable TV. The channels that Disney are offering are “Watch Disney Channel,” “Watch Disney XD” and “Watch Disney Junior,” but there is one little catch. Much like HBO GO, which requires users to have an HBO subscription with their cable or satellite provider, all three Disney apps will require customers have to have a cable subscription, in this case, Comcast to access all the content that’s available, however, unlike HBO GO, users without a subscription will still be able to use the app, but will have only a limited selection.
All three apps are available now on the App Store, simply by searching Disney Channel again, the apps are free.
