Updated: ASUS starts rollout of Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, to original EeePad Transformer

Update: ASUS has responded to an inquiry via Twitter; when asked when the U.S. would see the Android 4.0 update for the original EeePad Transformer…the answer given; tomorrow. So now you (we) all can get excited.

Somebody poke Google, tell them we want to see the Nexus S 4G updated to Android 4.0. I thought the whole selling point of a Nexus device, aside from the fact it was “pure” Google, was they got updates first. HA.

Finally, the update many of you (myself included) have been waiting for, ASUS has begun its rollout of Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, to its first Android tablet, the EeePad Transformer (TF101). Originally the ICS update for the Transformer was promised for January, which was then delayed to February and then finally to late-February – early-March.

Before some of you in the U.S. get all excited, there is a catch, the update will start rolling out in Taiwan first and then begin to expand to other territories thereafter. But you can now relax in knowing that the update is done and is on the way soon.

I find it funny that this update made it out before the official Nexus S 4G update for Sprint. What does that say for Google?
