It’s already exploded all over the “interwebz,” Apple has just sent out official invites to its next iPhone event, which is happening on September 12, just as rumors had suggested. As you can see from the invite above, Apple cleverly and subliminally hid (or not) the number “5″ in the shadow of the “12.” This has led just about about everyone to assume that Apple will in fact be calling the next iPhone the iPhone 5, not the “new” iPhone, not the iPhone 6, or iPhone LTE and so on.
So far the date has been correct, now we wait to to see if the rumors of pre-orders being accepted on the “day of” and whether all those parts are indeed the real iPhone 5.
