Well, so much for being a disappoinment, so far we’ve seen the iPhone 5 sell out it’s initial launch day shipment via their official website in just over an hour, that was followed by Verizon, AT&T and Sprint all announced they’ve extinguished their launch day stock as well. So how has Apple reacted to this news, Apple Spokeswomen Nat Kerris recently sent an statement to The Loop, which says:
“Pre-orders for iPhone 5 have been incredible,” said Apple spokeswoman, Natalie Kerris. “We’ve been completely blown away by the customer response.”
Despite the fact that almost every feature of the new iPhone was exposed prior to the announcement, that hasn’t dampened people’s desire to own one and it looks like Apple is on target to break the sales record set last year by the iPhone 4S.
The new iPhone 5 is set to be released next Friday, September 21st, and features a new redesigned exterior, 4-inch display, improved camera, faster A6 processor, improved audio and wireless radios. It’s available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB sizes which retail for $199, $299 and $399 respectively.
