It was reported last week that Apple was looking to purchase Israeli flash memory maker Anobit. Today, courtesy of an Israeli news source, Calcalist, Apple and Anobit have finalized a deal worth somewhere between $400 – $500 million.

The deal as it stands almost seems sketchy, with Anobit telling its employees of the deal, but yes top executives at Anobit haven’t met with Apple employees.

While this deal may have seemed like it came out of the blue, Apple has already been using Anobits products in products like the iPhone, iPad and even the MacBook Air. With this purchase Apple can now directly control the production and needs of their storage requirements.

Neither Apple or Anobit has officially confirmed the deal, but the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has already taken to twitter to welcome Apple to Israel. Sounds like he knows something we don’t?
