Apple is riding the wave that is their one billion dollar victory in the patent trial against Samsung into yet another patent lawsuit with, you guessed it, Samsung. In this suit, Apple has just added a list of new devices, quite a few of which feature the name “Galaxy” in them.
Here’s a complete list of the devices Apple’s referencing:
- Galaxy S III
- Galaxy S III – Verizon
- Galaxy Note
- Galaxy S II Skyrocket
- Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch
- Galaxy S II
- Galaxy S II – T-Mobile
- Galaxy S II – AT&T
- Galaxy Nexus
- Illusion
- Captivate Glide
- Exhibit II 4G
- Stratosphere
- Transform Ultra
- Admire
- Conquer 4G
- Dart smartphones
- The Galaxy Player 4.0
- Galaxy Player 5.0 media players
- Galaxy Note 10.1
- Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
- Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablets
According to Apple these devices violate patents like ’721, which is the slide to unlock patent and ’604 which refers to universal search. One thing to keep in mind, is that this is a completely separate lawsuit than the one Apple just won. That being said, Samsung may not be so confident time around and you can be sure that Apple will be pulling out all the stops seeing how they’ve already built a precedent.
One thing is for sure, the Apple vs. Samsung patent war is far from over.
