If you’re a fan of the quick and hectic gameplay of games like Temple Run, then you may like the game “Subway Surfers.” Created by Kiloo, a Denmark development studio, Subway Surfer puts players in the role of a “graffitti artist” who gets caught tagging a subway car and then is chased by a police officer and his dog. Once the “chase” has begun, you’ll start to collect coins while dodging on-coming subway cars, ducking and jumping obstacles.
Unlike Temple Run, Subway Surfers give players power ups, like a boot and a spray can jetpack, taking player to an upper level, above the powerlines. Players can even use a Back to the Future II-like hover board, which in a way, provides an extra life. If you fail to jump or slide under a sign, smack a subway train or hit a column, you’ll be knocked off the hover board and go back to running on foot.
The gameplay, like Temple Run, will become faster and more hectic the longer you play and because the game’s level changes each time you play, it’s impossible to memorize the layout.
You can download Subway Surfers right now on the Apple App Store for “FREE,” it’s also a universal app, meaning for free, you’ll be able to play it on your iPhone or iPod Touch and the iPad. Check out our video review below.
