Are you tired of Angry Birds? Well guess what? Kids in elementary and middle school, love them. They love them so much, that they were their t-shirts, hats and even have trash cans adorned with those crazy birds in their bedrooms. Know what else? There are millions of them and when you combine that with Star Wars, things get a whole lot crazier. Aside from all those kids, there are still millions of people who love to fling those silly birds from slingshot, as seen by the sales of Angry Birds Space. When you add in a little Star Wars flavor, it’s going to become a little more appetizing to millions of new players too. We can all say we’re tired of them, but we all know, deep down, we’re going to buy the game anyway, what’s $0.99 cents?
Anyway, lets get to it… Rovio, the developer behind Angry Birds and the recently released Bad Piggies (where’s their endorsement tie in?) has launched a new Tumblr page, with all kinds of goodies related to the new partnership with Lucasfilm LTD. I have to admit, the art on the page is pretty cool, even if Darth Vader does look like Stewie’s version from the Family Guy. Check out the very short teaser video below.
The only other detail we’re given is a release date, November 8th. The wesbite doesn’t list what platforms Angry Birds: Star Wars will launch on, but if Rovio’s past releases mean anything, then I believe it’s a safe bet to expect an iOS, Mac and Android release to be certain, with other platforms to follow.
