Amazon announced today that they’ve begun shipping their 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD to those who’ve pre-orded the device. While the higher cost model with LTE, will begin to arrive for customers on November 20th. With the addition of the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD, Amazon now has their original Kindle Fire, the 7-inch Kindle Fire HD and now the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD.
Amazon has also expanded their distribution with new partners for the Kindle Fire HD (8.9), which includes; Best Buy, Staples and Radio Shack, with Best Buy carrying the first, starting tomorrow.

Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ features a 1920 x 1200 (254 PPI) display, TI OMAP 4470 processor, Dolby Digital Plus audio for $299. The 4G-enabled model — which is available for starts at $499 with an AT&T data package for a one-off payment of $49.99 — ships as planned on November 20.
